A Few Fall Favorites

Everyone loves a good alliteration, right? All apples, all the time. Peeking through a pumpkin patch. Gosh, I’m good at this!

…no? I’m not? You’re right, this is embarrassing. I’ll stop.

Alright, moving on. This past weekend was chock-full of fun fall festivities [hahah seriously, I’ll stop with the alliterations now]: apple picking, apple cider donuts, football, pumpkin beer and lots of time with family & friends. These are the weekends I live for. Sometimes I wish that the awesomeness of the fall + the festivities of the holiday season could last much longer. One of the best parts of living in New England is the changing of the seasons — but I will never understand why the winter needs to last SO damn long! You know that part of the year when the holidays have come and gone, the days are short , dark and cold, the wind is unforgiving, and the spring is nowhere in sight? Perhaps if that period of time could be shortened to, ohhh… say, a week? The remaining part of those four months could just be filled with more pumpkin and apples and gingerbread and Christmas!

Hey, a girl can dream, right?

Anyways, given that life has been keeping me pretty busy lately [hopefully more on that later!], I’ve compiled a list of links for you that have recently caught my attention. They are delicious, creative and even hilarious.

However, please note that 90% of these links are pumpkin-related. That’s not necessarily an accurate representation of how I feel about the best season of the year — there are SO many other delicious fruits, veggies and flavors to talk about. So, maybe I will. Talk about them, that is. You know, another day. More links? Don’t mind if I do.

You’re welcome.

Booze & fruit combine to make the most delicious of desserts.

Whoopie pies + fall flavors = this incredible creation. Brilliance; pure brilliance.

I’m sorry, what? Is this real life?!

As you know, cardamom is in the running to become my favorite spice of all time; that being said, I’ll absolutely be adapting this Betty Crocker gem.

I’ve been dyingggg to try this pizza. But let’s be real — chances are much higher that someone else will try it before I actually find time to do so…. any takers?! I’ll take reviews/suggestions, please and thank you.

Because why wouldn’t you want to make a homemade version of your favorite fall drink from Starbucks? and because I might have had one this weekend [sans whipped cream and lightened up with almond milk]. Delish, x10000.

These cookies are bomb. I made them on a whim this past Saturday night, substituting caramel kisses instead — best combination of fall flavors, potentially ever. I’ll absolutely be posting about them in the near future — kitchen mishap and all.

If you’re anything like me and have a tupperware filled with leftover pumpkin puree in your fridge at all times between September and March.

As if there aren’t enough recipes for pumpkin cookies in this world. and if only I wasn’t inclined to try each and every one of them.

Not fall-related in the least, but this clip with JT & Jimmy Fallon? #lololololololololololol
